Ready-to-book adventures
Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft)
Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan intl. airport our representative welcomes you and assists to transfer in your hotel in Kathmandu. At the evening you’ll transfer for welcome dinner in one of the typical Nepalese restaurant with the cultural & musical programs in the heart of Kathmandu and briefing about your trip and overnight at Hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,420m/4,658ft), 8-9 hrs drive
After breakfast we drive on a northern highway that twists and climbs over mountain ridges to the Trishuil valley. The journey will take 7-8 hours through picturesque landscapes, mountain scenery and local villages. On the way we have magnificent views of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu and Mt Kerung of Tibet. Overnight relax at a local teahouse in Syabrubesi.
Day 3: Shyabrubesi to Gatlang (2238m)
After an early breakfast today, you will begin the first day of Tamang Heritage Trekking. In about 3 hours, you may reach Ronga Bhanjyang by hiking along a rocky route. You will pass vistas along the route that provide stunning views of the Ganesh Himal, Gosaikunda range, and Goljung valley. After roughly an hour, the route descends to Goljung Valley. After stopping for lunch at Goljung Valley, you will take a quick break. You will then hike for an additional three hours to reach Gatlang, a stunning Tamang town with stone homes where you can appreciate the customs and culture of the inhabitants.
Day 4: Gatlang to Tatopani(2607m)
After breakfast, you will descend past several Chortens, prayer walls, and dense woodlands in order to reach Thambuchet and ultimately Chilime. You will see serene lake that was created here by the Chilime Hydropower Dam, after climbing past the terrace farms and across a suspension bridge, you will arrive at Gonggang Village. After lunch in Gonggang village, you will continue on a trail that gradually climbs to Tatopani. You will hike via a hot spring here you can take a natural bath in the hot springs if you prefer.
Day 5: Tatopani (2607m) to Thuman (2338m) via Nagthali Bhyang (3165m)
In the early morning after breakfast, gradually increasing height while traversing a number of ups and downs. You will reach a stunning area of Brimdang after two hours of trekking. There on two more hours on the route, you arrive at Nagthali Danda. Lunch will be served as you take in the views of the adjacent snowy peaks, including Tibetan Himal, Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung, and Shishapangma. There are several minor monasteries that you can visit. The next stop is Thuman, a Tamang hamlet with hospitable residents who enjoy singing and dancing in a Tibetan style. You will spend the night in a local tea house.
Day 6: Thuman (2338m) to Briddhim (2229m)
Briddhim, which is located across the valley and on the opposite side of the Bhote Koshi River, is the target for today. Following a gentler portion, in the beginning, the trail descends to Timure along the former trade route to Tibet, where you will eat lunch. After lunch, the trek ascends steeply to a ridge with more views of the mountains and surrounding areas before entering a forest of rhododendrons, pines, and oaks. Eventually, you will arrive in Briddhim, another Tamang village with Tibetan influences, where you will spend the night in a local home for a truly authentic.
Day 7: Trek from Briddhim to Lama Hotel (1860m)
The trail today ascends to Khanjum village and passing through the Chortens, Mani walls, and prayers flags along the way, we make our way up further to Sherpa Gaon. We get an amazing view of the Langtang ranges from Sherpa Goan where we are welcomed by the warm hospitality of the Sherpa people. Overnight at a lodge in Sherpa Gaon.
Trekking through rhododendron forests with an amazing view of the Langtang range and Gosaikunda valley, we descend towards the Lama Hotel. We follow the trails of Langtang Khola downstream to reach Rimche and then follow the river upstream to arrive in Lama Hotel situated on the riverbank. Overnight at a lodge in Lama Hotel.
Day 7: Lama Hotel to Langtang village (3,480m)
Today we have a pleasant walk and follow the trail through rhododendron and pine forest for around three hours to reach Ghora Tabela where we stop for lunch. The surrounding area is dense wild habitat and many small babblers with lot of herbal can be found here. After lunch we walk another three hours on the scenic trail takes us to Langtang village where we stop for the evening.
Day 8: Langtang village to Kyanjing Gompa (3,870m),
After breakfast this morning we leave the village and start our trek leisurely for around three to four hours to visit Kyanjing Gompa. From here we have beautiful views of Mt Ganchempo and Langtang Lirung. Evening we are free for visiting the surrounding areas like Yak cheese Factory, Monastery and local houses.
Day 9: Rest dat at Kyanjin Gompa
Today you may have full day of rest and relaxation at the surrounding area. You can enjoy the views or explore the local area or visit some highlights of Langtang Ri or Cherku-ri (5,150 meters), glacier walk or Langshisha kharka depends on your fitness and interest.
Day 10: Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2340m/7,675ft),
This morning we retrace our steps somewhat as we head back from the Gompa. We have an easy down hill and pleasant walk through the rhododendron forest to Lama Hotel where we rest for the night before continuing our journey next day for the Thulo Syabru village.
Day 11: Lama Hotel to Syanbrubesi (1460m)
We will trek down the hills to Syabrubesi. If you are in hurry for other activities or have the departure schedule, then we can drive back to Kathmandu via private transport, we can arrange that as per your requirement.
Day 12: Drive from Syabrubesi (1460m) to Kathmandu (1400m)
Today, ride a bus from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu, your Tamang Heritage Trail adventurewill come to an end. You will wake up early, eat a healthy breakfast, and then travel back to Kathmandu through terraced fields, rural communities, rivers, high hills, and more. As you go alongside the Trishul River, you will see the verdant, green trees. You will arrive in Kathmandu late in the evening after a full day of traveling. You can spend some time this evening exploring Thamel’s tourist areas. This is also a wonderful chance to see the historical and cultural sites that give Kathmandu its unique character.
Day 13: Departure from Kathmandu
Today is free or last minute shopping for souvenirs or gift to your family, friends or relatives for you until your departure flight/drive or to commence any extra trips or activities you may have booked with us. If departing, you’ll be transferred to the International Airport for your departure flight to your onwards destination.
