Himlung Expedition is a classic 7000m expeditions in the northern Annapurna region of Nepal that was first climbed only in 1992. Himalung at elevation of 7126m, the expedition serves as an excellent preliminary peak for 8000m climbs. This mountain receives fewer climbers even to date and is not technically difficult. As its remote location and in close proximity with the Tibet border, Himlung sees fewer climbers summiting every year. This is a perfect peak for those with previous experience of 6000m climb and is looking to push their altitude experience to the next level. The climb of Himlung involves ascending three high camps above the base camp to the summit following low objective hazards over rock, moraine and snow slopes. Most section of the Himlung climbing route involves 30 degrees of steepness and only the final section near the summit steepens up to 40 degrees. The route up to camp II consists more of a rock and moraine. From Camp II onwards, the route consists of snow slopes. Our Himlung Himal Expedition is a fully guided and supported expedition. We provide 1 climbing sherpa for every 1 member.
