Day 01: Kathmandu-Shyabrubesi /Kerung (2800M)

Early in the morning scenic drive to Kerung Border (Nepal-Tibet Border) after necessary border formalities at Nepalese immigration, Chinese immigration, continue drive to Kerung. Stay overnight at hotel

Day 02: Kerung-Xigatse (3900M)

After breakfast drive uphill to the highest plateau of the world with the typical view of Tibetan landscape offering wow feeling of standing on the roof of the world. Continue scenic drive crossing Over Gyatchu La (5,220M), the highest pass en route to Lhasa via Lhatse from where a road to Mt Kailash splits to the west. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Xigatse –Lhasa via Gyantse (3950M

After visiting Tashilumpo Monastery in the morning including visit to the market of Xigatse then drive to Gyantse, which takes 02 hrs drive. Gyantse is a small bustling town steeped in history. It lies 264 km southwest of Lhasa on the northern bank of Nyang Chu river. In the 15th century, it served as the capital of a small country. Visit Kumbum Chorten which was built around 1400 AD which later became the main center for trade with British India. Overnight in a hotel. Then continue to Lhasa crossing teh Karo La Pass (5010m) and Kambala Pass (4794m) with approximately 6 hours. The Karo La climbs between two lofty mountains, Nozing Khang Sa (7223m) and Ralung (6236). Whilst in the drive, you will see the beautiful Yamdrok Tso (Turquoise Lake) which takes approx. 1 hour to cross around. After passing Kamba La, Lhasa valley is seen to the north and also cross the Brahmaputra River. Overnight in a hotel.

Day 04 and 05: In Lhasa(3600M

These days you will be engrossed with sightseeing and excursions of the Potala Palace, the Jokhang temple, surrounding Barkhor market, Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery. Overnight in a hotel.

Day 06: Lhasa- Xigatse-Tingri (4200m)

After Breakfast, Drive to Tingri, (optional to Visit EBC $ 200 per person extra) -O/N at Guest House.

Day 07: Tingri- Kerung (2900m)

After Breakfast, Drive to EBC visit EBC then drive to Kerung overnight at hotel

Day 08: Kerung-Kathmandu.

Early morning, drive to Border and cross border then drive back to Kathmandu.
