Overland trip to Mt. Kailash and Lake Mansarover is one of the most fascinating destination in Tibet will fascinating Tibetan landscape and beautiful wilderness of the Himalayan range. Mt. Kailash, the holy land for both Buddhist and Hindu followers and fascinating pilgrimage destination. Lake Mansarover is also holy lake and situated at the lap of Mt. Kailash surrounded by the mighty Himalayas is the most attractive scene of this tour.
Kailash and Mansarovar Overland Tour starts with a drive to the Nepal-China border, Kerung from Kathmandu. After clearing the immigration processes, we head towards Nyalam and spend the night there. The drive to Dongba follows, and en route, Lalungla Pass (16000 ft), the huge Paigu-Tso Lake, and the Brahmaputra River’s scenic beauty will take your breath away. Darshan of Lord Shiva and parikrama of Lake Mansarovar is a lifetime experience if you are a devotee. After the parikrama, the drive continues back to Darchen. Darchen-Tarboche-Dirapuk is a tiring journey, and so is the trek through Dolma-la Pass, descending to Gauri Kund, and further walking along the river to Zuthulpuk (22 km). The trek continues for around 8 km, and we drive to Darchen and further to Lake Mansarovar. The return journey is through Saga, Kerung finally Kathmandu.

Day 01: Kathmandu – Syabrubesi – Kyirong (2800m)
After breakfast, we will travel approximately 15km to reach the Chinese border. Once in China, you will meet our guide who will accompany us on a 1-hour drive to Kyirong (2800m), nestled amidst towering snow-capped peaks and verdant forests. In the afternoon, feel free to explore Kyirong and visit Paba Temple (2850m), a stunning Gelugpa temple commissioned by Tibetan King Songtsan Gambo at the request of his wife, Nepali princess Bhrikuti. The temple showcases intricate murals in the Nepalese style and is only a short walk from your hotel. The remainder of the day can be used to acclimate to the high altitude of Tibet in Kyirong. Day 02: Drive from Kyirong to Saga County (4640m)
After enjoying breakfast, we embark on journey to Saga. Along the way, you will be treated to stunning views of iconic landmarks such as Mt. Shishapangma (the world’s 14th highest peak) and the picturesque Turquoise Lake Peiku tso (standing at an impressive altitude of 4590m). Keep your eyes peeled as you may also be fortunate enough to catch glimpses of rare wildlife such as wild donkeys and antelopes. Stay overnight in Saga Hotel
Day 03: Saga to Lake Manasarover (4600m)
En route to Lake Manasarover, you will be mesmerized by the breathtaking vista of the Saga valley nestled between the stunning Gangdise and Himalaya mountain ranges. Additionally, you will catch sight of verdant grasslands and quaint local settlements. Upon crossing the Mayomla Pass (5112m), you will be greeted by the awe-inspiring sight of Mt. Naimonanyi (7694m). Ultimately, our journey leads us to the holy Lake Manasarover, revered as one of Tibet’s most sacred lakes. Today is a particularly auspicious day, as it marks the first glimpse of Holy Manasarovar and a panoramic view of Mt. Kailash from the Horchu Pass. Overnight stay Lodge at Chhu Gompa at the shore of lake Manasarovar.
Day 04: Lake Manasarovar to Darchen (4670m)
Today, we will be spending the majority of the day at the enchanting Lake Manasarovar. You will have the opportunity to take a leisurely stroll along the shores of the lake and explore the impressive monasteries in the vicinity. This visit will also hold a special significance for devout Hindus and Buddhists, who will be able to achieve a lifetime-goal by visiting the divine abode. They can partake in rituals such as Puja, Havana worship, meditation, and a holy bath. As the day progresses, we will embark on a drive to Darchen later in the afternoon. Stay overnight at Hotel in Darchen.
Day 05: Kailash Kora Darchen to Diraphuk Monastery (5210m)
In the morning, we will embark on our eco-bus journey from Darchen to Sarshung valley. Once we arrive, we will meet our trusted Yaks and porters in Sarshung village. Please note that hiring these animals and carrying assistants are not included in the package.
After we have gathered our team, we will start our approximately 13km trek from Sarshung to Drirapuk Monastery via the beautiful Lachu valley and rivers. This route will provide you with incredible views of both the west and north face of the magnificent Mount Kailash.
Finally, our journey will conclude with a visit to the Drirapuk Monastery, leaving you with cherished memories. Overnight at Drirapuk Guesthouse
Day 06: Drirapuk- Zutulphuk (4790m)
Today’s trek will take us to the highest point of the Kora – the Dromala pass (5630m). En route, you can stop for a break at a cozy teahouse. Throughout the journey, you will witness the awe-inspiring sight of local Tibetans performing prostrations along the Kora path and the stunning Kadoe Lake, as you make your way downhill. Additionally, we will have an opportunity to explore the culturally-rich Zutulpuk Monastery.

Day 07: Zutulphuk to Darchen, end the Kora. Drive to Saga
After having breakfast, we will set off on an 8 km trek to reach the designated point where a bus will be waiting to take us to Darchen, marking the end of the Parikarma (Circuit). After lunch, our expedition will continuely drive towards Saga or Dongba while passing by Lake Manasarovar, allowing another opportunity to admire its beauty.

Day 08: Drive back to Syabrubesi
Drive back to Syabrubesi through Kyirong along the road we come.
Day 09: Drive back to Syabrubesi
You will be received by our guide from Kathmandu and drive to Kathmandu. End of the services.
