This exclusive journey to Bhairav Kund on the least visited Langtang and Jugal Himal trekking area, a wonderful experience being on the-off-beaten route to pilgrimage site of Bhairave Himal Kund. It is surrounded by coniferous alpine forest of rhododendron, pines, magnolia tree lines with awesome scenery of high green hills, valleys and panorama of snowcapped mountains of Ganesh, Langtang, Dorji Lakpa of Jugal Himal range. The trek starts from Kathmandu with an interesting drive on the highway just an hour distance away from the Tibet border, and the then on the off beaten trail visiting nice traditional villages of Newars, Brahmins, Chettiries and Tamang tribes of people in the mid hills of central Himalaya region on leaving the villages in complete wilderness for few days in the midst of alpine woodlands to reach holy glacial pond of Bhairav Himal Kund. This holy mountain lake is important for both Hindu and Buddhist devotees. During every Bhadra (August) full moon, the devotees visit Bhairab Kunda lake and take a bath and pay their homage there.
